A long sleeved turtleneck and short shorts?

You had to be there. That was the fashion in the early '60s, before the hippie-dippie-floppy clothes became popular.

Besides, this was California and even in "chilly" weather, short shorts were very popular in the 60's. Besides.....I love Cy's remark about "advertising the merchandise". Red Buttons was terrific!! Would have loved to have had a brother like that.

Check out a J Crew or LL Bean catalog. That's not an unusual combination at all. Except now we don't wear short shorts like that.
