Twin beds

Didn't realize that in 1963 married people were still shown having twin beds.

I've always wondered if the twin bed master bedroom configuration was reflective of bedrooms across America or if that was just done for decency in the make believe world of movies and television. I've heard of couples having their own bedrooms but no one I've asked who was married in those days ever said they had twin beds.

I've always had twin beds since my marriage, but a king size headboard. This way we both have the comfort of a twin, and it's very easy to clean under the bed...I just pull the beds apart and vacuum underneath.

Thanks for sharing! Aside from movies and television, this is the first time I've heard anyone say that. I have asked a lot of older people; perhaps they've forgotten or they'd just rather not say since it seems like a relic of the past.
