Yeah, I remember reading that in the 1981 THE STOOGE CHRONICLES, which I still have.
Longtime "Stooge-ologist" (yuk yuk yuk - Larry:"Shaddup, dummy"! Moe spokes me in the yes) Jeffrey Forrester.
That scene and the line that "montgomerydou" quote as in Jeff's book, though this flick by NAME is not MENTIONED..ois given a nod as "that film that comment son it.."We don't do THAT one anymore").
Actually, the Stooges already HAD just retired the bit , and it and longtime friend/director EDWARD BERNDS, not to be confused with 77 SUNSET STRIP's (then finishing out its run) Edd Byrnes , or the current actor EDWARD BURNS (2008's 27 DRESSED), wasn't a fan of the bit himself.t
