When Thomasina returns from her rainy night visit to Mary's window, Lori the witch pulls her into the house and calls her Thomasina. How did she know that was the cat's name? Certainly she must have known that she belonged to Mary.
Any ideas?
The children were having a funeral for Thomasina when Lori arrived and began to sing along. The kids ran away, and Lori looked in the box and found the cat was not dead. The plaque said "Here lies Thomasina, a good cat" or something to that effect. She took Thomasina to her home and nursed her back to health. So, she knew the cat's name from the beginning.
