What a disappointment! I have been waiting YEARS to buy a copy of my favorite movie OF ALL TIME but I can't afford this version. So depressing. I don't think I could play it even if I could scrape together the $ for the DVD - it looked to be HD to me....

It would be nice if Criterion could put out a BASIC film-lovers edition along with their fancy editions - something for the less fortunate cinephiles amongst us.

I have saved up & forked out on Criterion items in the past and they are just "ok". I am not a bells & whistles kind of person - just happen to adore good movies. Sure wish I didn't. Criterion gets their mitts on these things and then I am SOL. Two-Lane Black Top, Grey Gardens....not for my movie collection it seems.

I've flipped through the Louise Brooks extras w/Pandora's Box once. I would rather put the extra $ towards a great coffee table book or towards another movie.

What a dark day for me.

$35 in Canada. Not a minor price difference for me and many film lovers. Very disappointing. Same with Grey Gardens. 2 Lane Blacktop. Impossible to get Criterion at a reasonable price in Canada. I'll have to make do with a 3 pound copy I guess and hope Criterion loses out more often than not at their attempts to keep great movies from the masses.

Oh great - Grande Illusion too I see - and so of course more imdb-user complaints about high prices - from someone in Sweden this time.

A shame such great movies can't be made available to all countries & to all income brackets.

I hope criterion donates copies of their releases to libraries.

I won't be purchasing any more of their over-priced packages in the future.

A decent video transfer, but the audio was out of sync.
