Locations/Scenery

I have been watching this movie at least twice a month since I bought it last year. It really cheers me up! One of my favorite things about the movie is the wonderful scenery. Does anyone know the location of the "Swingin Affair"
song and dance? Absolutely beautiful! I have never been to Europe, but when I finally make it there, I would love to see some of the places in Summer Holiday.

I bought the movie from Amazon.com and listened to it with the comentary also, and most of the picture was filmed in Greece even if it was supposed to be Paris, even the baack roads, After the movie was finished being filmed some staff BUT not the actors did go to Paris to get some shots, but alas the actors did not go. They did wonderful mixing and editing didn't they?
The bus on the insiide was a set in the studio and was made just a little bit bigger than the inside of a real bus , they needed the room.
The Director was determined to get some of Greece's wonderful scenery, and did you see the Acropolis behind Cliff as he sang The Next Time?
So in answer to your question, I think the scenery for Swinging Affair would be in Greece also. And for anyone elso the movie and soundtrack of some of Cliffs stuff can be gotten at Amazon.com

from Barbara==my name is the same as the chick in the movie :)

Yep, according to the commentary it's Greece, and having holidayed there a few times I'd say that this is true, even if the scenery is intended to suggest the Alps. The later Acropolis scene is one of the great highlights of the film, and a real location coup!

I wonder about location in Yugoslavia. Where was it filmed? I think it was filmed in Yugoslavia because people do talk in Croatian-Serbian. I think the village scene was filmed somewhere in southern Serbia, Kosovo or Macedonia - close to Greek border.
I'm not sure that Yugoslavia was so backward back then. It's nice to see that Swiss roads were the same as in Yugoslavia back then, hehe.
