seen the movie years ago did the bus have a number and destination on it?

yes a number nine routmaster nice long journey the numberr 9 in reality takes one to picadilly from hammersmith taking in kensington /knightsbrdge/hyde park corner/piccadily to picadily circus and becase its still classed as a historic route you can get a routemaster double decker still instead of the absolutely horrrible single decker bendy buses we now have plagueing the streets of london

I loved those RTs that preceded the routemaster.They were still in use right up to 1978

The bus they used was actually an RT, not a Routemaster. Contrary to popular belief, Routemasters were by no means the only half-cab, open rear platform London double-decker.

Similarly, the Knight Bus from Harry Potter was also an RT, not a Routemaster. It is currently on display at the Warner studio near London.
