Anybody have this movie.
To hell with the critics, I liked it. I also saw it in the age before the vcr.
I'd love to get my hands on a copy. Drop me a line and lets talk business.

I have a copy of it somewhere. I can't vouch for the quality. I think I taped it from a movie channel so another copy from it shoul not be to bad.

I liked it, but for all the wrong reasons!
shareA cheesy but breezy, cheap British re-hash of an earlier Alan Ladd merrie olde Englande load of nonsense, unavailable on DVD (officially)... and yesterday, Tuesday October 1, Channel 4 in the UK broadcast it on their HD channel in what would appear to be true 1080i (Blu-ray quality [interlaced]). Yes, I have recorded it –and it certainly looks superb– though I haven't analysed the file to verify the HD status.
Guess what Channel 4 HD are showing (also advertised as in HD) on Friday...?
Yes, it's "The Black Night" from 1954, starring a 41-year-old Alan Ladd as a 20-something swordsmith!
"Oh look - a lovely spider! And it's eating a butterfly!"

It's no surprise that there was never a "Carry On Around the Round Table" film - it had already been done (Monty Python's later send-up doesn't fit as that movie truly is the dog's bollocks).
Siege of the Saxons will be shown on TCM this morning at 715AM Central Time.
