Please double check your local tv guide for the time in your area. Also the time may not be convenient so have those recorders ready. This is a good movie and I recommend it but it is a tough one for the time it was made in 1963. The performance by Arch Hall Jr. as the Sadist is magnificient.
shareEven though I feel this movie is a great one some disagree. If you haven't seen it you will have to decide for yourself. It is grim.
shareJust finished watching it. TCM ran it on a double bill with Hall's "Wild Guitar", which has got to be among the three or four worst movies in history. I had seen "The Sadist" many years ago, but I missed the first hour or so. Now I got to see the entire film, and I definitely enjoyed it. By far Arch Hall Jr.'s best film, as well as Fairway Pictures' (owned by his father). Well directed, well written (for the most part), and well acted, especially by Helen Hovey (a real beauty; too bad this was her only picture). Very enjoyable.
