Studio Canal Version vs. Milestone

According to several websites I have visited, the Studio Canal version is better. Could anyone tell me how much more the Studio Canal version is and if it is worth it. Thanks.

The Studio Canal version is the best version available of this public domain movie. The differences can be seen here

In addition, the SC version also has the trailer, a thirty minute documentary on Welles, Kafka and the movie, filmographies, photo gallery, a 2nd disc with the 1984 american tv version and most importantly it has a deleted scene (albeit with no sound). The drawbacks are the trailer and documentary are in french with no english audio or subtitles. It is also region 2 and formatted for PAL.

The 2 dvd set runs about $26, roughly $30 shipping included. The only place I know that sells it is amazon's french site, amazon.fr under the title le proces. But if you have ordered from amazon.com before, your account and login info will still work. Overall, a highly recommended dvd.

I have the focus film 2 disc release that comes with The Stranger. The picure is good but the audio isn't fantasic, and Jeffery Lyons' commentary is pathetic, one, really two if you include his commentary for The Stranger, of the worst commentaries I've ever heard. They really need to get someone who has seen the film in the last 20 years and who actually has something to say about it to do commentary!
