Disappointed by this film

I saw all the Pink Panther movies when I was a kid (usually in a drive-in, with my folks.) I remember loving them, and so I was excited when I saw that TCM was running a double feature (Pink Panther and A Shot in the Dark.)

I was very disappointed with this movie (PP.) It drags in the beginning, has lots of faraway shots that are difficult to discern what is going on, and I also just didn't find it very funny. Certainly it was mildly entertaining, but 'hilarious?' No.

Also, the ending was terrible...I give this 5/10.

P.S. A Shot in the Dark, IMO, was much funnier..

Just watched it this weekend for the first time. It was ok. I felt some of the jokes ran a little too long. I am trying to remember it was a different style of comedy in 1963 but Clouseau got annoying really fast for me. I just couldn't take his nonsense for too long and didn't find him funny. and I feel bad because I know Peter Sellers was known for these movies and all that. I thought the Princess was my favorite character; I absolutely loved her drunk scene. And Robert Wagner was very easy on the eyes, haha.

the 2 best scenes I liked the most were the bedroom scene where Clouseau's wife is trying to hide the two guys; wager swinging around from the closet and then the car chase scene where the drunk guy is just standing in the street watching everyone chase each other.

Over all though it's not something I have an interest in watching again. But I'm glad I've seen it at least once.

I enjoy this one. I think it's a bit jarring because it's the one PP movie where Clouseau is not the main attraction. It's a lot more old school and mellow. And I actually liked the ending?

That being said, A SHOT IN THE DARK is better and my favorite. This one is about a 7/10 for me.

It's a bit of a boring movie.
