Mentioned by Tony Curtis in The Persuaders

In the 1971 TV show, The Persuaders, this film is referred to by Danny Wilde (played by Tony Curtis). In the episode 'Someone Waiting', Wilde and Lord Brett Sinclair (Roger Moore) arrive at a deserted-looking house on a dark night. As they stop, Wilde says "Did you ever see a movie called The Old Dark House?". Sinclair replies "No, what happened" and Wilde says "Everybody dies", at which point Sinclair looks aghast and says "I don't wish to hear about it". Classic!

I think it's possible that they were refering to the earlier Old Dark House with Boris Karloff...
However, I do like this movie and think it was classic

You're probably correct. The Persuaders was aired in 1971, so the '63 film would still have been quite new at that time. It's therefore more likely that the scriptwriters were referring to the original 1932 version you mention.

Why could it not have been referring to the then-somewhat-recent-remake? The storyline's basically the same.

But it's a fun movie, and I for one enjoy when there's a wisecrack or inside joke referring to an old movie or someone one of the stars was previously involved with. IE - How to Marry A Millionaire with Lauren Bacall telling William Powell she just adores older men and mentions that old guy in African Queen...

Maybe except in the original, not everyone dies.....

No they are referring to the 1963 one --- because everyone died in it --- except Poston, Morgan and his daughter and Potiphar --- in 1932 only a couple of deaths ---
