Richard Kiel

I always thought this was the gym guy blocking Jerry's path and thanks to IMDB, I finally know I was right!

I liked him in the Monkees episode, I was a teenage monster. I saw a Kellogg's Shredded Wheat commercial he was in on YouTube: "Look! That guy's eating a plate!"

He was supposed to be in the Jerry Lewis film, Cracking Up, as the guy who constantly hits poor Warren for lighting up. I have the original script to it, but it is called "Smorgasbord". There is a notation in it that says he would like to get him to play the role; Dick Butkis got it.

He played Mr. Whiney's (Ray Walston)henchman, Rease, in the film, Silver Streak.

i wouldn't have noticed richard kiel in the gym if it wasn't mentioned in the dvd commentary, there are some amazing bonus material on the dvd release by the way. funniest scene of the movie i thought was the look back at his home as a kid, and parts of the speech at the end are really hookable and realised as i watched it again now has always stuck with me since. the exaggeration of sounds was just like in the twilight zone episode sounds and silences.

you were on the street every night,
i had slipped you by,
finally gave it a shot,
at your place made the stop,
right there trouble stuck,
how was i to know you were bad luck,
fooled me till you had me right,
what kind of monster hides behind those pretty eyes,
just waiting to put a curse on me,
and i ran off soon as you weren't looking.
