I keep hunting for info on Resnais films, so if I come across it, I will post here.
His films are hard to find on DVD. MK2 released his 1980's film in France in a DVD collection that included English subtitles, but this was not one of the films.
It is available from AmazonFrance but without subtitles.

shareThat's good news. I bought a new VHS copy of MURIEL four years ago, put out by some American company in the Southwest, but it's quality was poor, the picture awful in parts and the sound in much of it staticky. It's worth seeing, though it often drags, and if the DVD is Criterion-quality it will certainly help things.
shareThe Koch-Lorber release is not exactly Criterion-worthy, but it does include a very interesting segment on Resnais and the significance of Muriel's visual style, as well as the censorship surrounding Algeria in Resnais' France.
