Can "Mondo Cane" be categorizad alongside with movies such as "Cannibal Holocaust", "Man Bites Dog" and new movies like "The Blair Witch Project", "Diary of The Dead", "Cloverfield", "REC" ect. I mean, in a way that "Mondo Cane" also uses footage as it is real what is going on... hmm, catch my drift?

shareMan Bites Dog is an excellent film. If anyone on this board has not seen that yet be sure to watch it! C Halocaust I have yet to see, however I plan on seeing it soon.
Watch Twin Peaks (1990), its the best damn show ever made and is on DVD!

After seeing this recommended by another user (if I recalled who I'd thank him/her right now) I purchased Killing for Culture. Amazing read, all about death on film varying from mondo films, snuff films and feature films. They speak of Man Bites Dog, Faces of Death, Cannibal Holocaust and a whole slew of mondo films.
I highly recommend this book, if not simply for the vast suggestions.
