When I was a kid my brother and I rented a very odd movie. It was like a documentury, maybe it actually was I don't know. What I remember about it was that it started talking about sexual oddities with other cultures. In one part it tells of men in some cultures who sell off their daughters for things like goats and cattle. In another part it showed a priest of some tribe who made all the females use a huge, wooden, phalis shaped object as a sign of worship.

Is that this movie?
Does anyone know what movie that is?
I know you might think I'm weird for asking but my brother and I have always wondered what the hell that movie was, and why they would let kids like us rent it.

I use to think it was called "Mumbo Jumbo" or something but it could have been Mondo.
If anyone knows what movie it is that would be cool

I can't answer your question, but i will recommend you that you post your question in the Cult Film Discussion Board. That one has a lot more movement and people there really know about these films, so you will probably get an answer real soon. It's the best place for this kind of questions on imdb.

Probably Mondo Balordo. While I haven't seen this film, I've read that it contains the kind of things you described (bizarre sexual practices around the world). I suggest looking it up on IMDB. If that isn't it, check out Mondo Exotico, Mondo Bizarro, etc.

I think it's called "Mondo Magic" (1975).... I saw it a few years ago and I remember there being a scene with the wooden phallus the female initiates were required to mount. It has an Italian title too.... ummmm... something like Magia nuda I think. Good Luck!

If you get the Mondo Cane DVD, there is an "extra" with a really good history of the "Mondo" films. It's just text and stills, but very well done.
