Get the print from MPI

You might want to wait to see if an authorized DVD print of the film comes out in June 05 as anticipated, but if that doesn't materialize, let me recommend the VHS version from MPI Home Video. It's fantastic.

It's the only print in any format restored from the original negative -- as close to broadcast perfection as you're going to get. Producer, co-star, and #1 son Michael Wayne supervised the process, so you know it was done to his satisfaction.

I bought McLintock on DVD from Goodtimes and again from some other studio, and ended up tossing them both out in disgust. Yeah, there ought to be a law, but don't make the same mistake.

i have this version of the VHS as well and it is a beautiful transfer.it is the only good quality version of this film i have ever seen.i have purposely not bought the DVD for the reasons stated in another thread....they are all garbage transfers.news of the possibility of the Wayne estate finally releasing the sweet transfer is good news indeed!we shall see what happens over the summer.

The new authorized widescreen PARAMOUNT DVD puts the authorized MPI Pan And Scanned Fullscreen VHS to shame. Time for all to upgrade and toss out the MPI VHS tapes in the trashcans!!!
