Much more than I expected...

When I first started watching this film, my impression was that it was dated, then shortly thereafter I started hearing the one-liners and I was hooked. Very funny dialogue and great physical comedy by Barry Nelson. (I could also see Jackie Cooper in Nelson's role.)

With Jean Kerr as the playwright, I should have known it would be funny. Two of her books, "Please Don't Eat The Daisies" and "The Snake Has All The Lines" were hilarious. Of course, I was only in my 20s when I read them, so who knows what I would think now, but I think I would still find them funny on re-read all these years later.
