Was anyone else sort of rooting for Anthony (Tom Bosley)?

I have to admit I was sort of rooting for Anthony (Tom Bosley) instead of Steve McQueen's character. I think Anthony could have been a better husband. It was so cute that he got all clumsy visiting her family, and SHE got all clumsy visiting his family.

It's not like she had great chemistry with Steve McQueen's character. Sure he's sexier, but when she discussed the sex, it sounded pretty bad. Maybe I'm biased, but in my experience, the "nice guys" are generally much more skilled in bed than the sexy bad boys.

Perhaps it's a stretch to think of Anthony as being skilled in bed. Couldn't root for him, but Rocky's no prize either. Please visit the "whaddya think happened next" thread, would love to hear your take on it.

I had my share of bad boys in my youth, and they were all disappointments in bed. The nice guys are more eager to please. At least the one I married was.

ha!

i was getting Tom Bosley and James Hampton confused - i thought he was the guy who played the dad in Teen Wolf....but he's from Happy Days!

I think most young girls first sexual experience is not that great (mine included) for many reasons. I don't believe it's fair to put the blame on Rocky.

I have nothing against Tom Bosley, but he was VERY annoying in this film. His character should have been left out completely. Thankfully he didn't have a big part.
