Stupid cameos were a MAJOR distraction
Terrific murder myster in its own right. Why the hell did the producers decide to distract the audience with those unecessary cameos?
There is no "off" position on the genius switch.
Anybody going to see this film because Frank Sinatra and Robert Mitchum etc. were in it must have been cheated by just those appearances at the end. So pointless and a little bit underhand to use them as a draw to cinema goers of the day.
