Get BBC to repeat this- they showed it way too early!!!

I just called the BBC & asked them why the hell they showed "The Leather Boys" on BBC2 on Saturday 18th of February at 01.35 when in fact it was advertised EVERYWHERE as being scheduled by the BBC to be shown at 01:50! The lady I spoke to had no record of it being scheduled for 01:50 but was only able to confirm that it was shown at 01:35, 15 minutes too early!

What can we do? Call the BBC FREE on FREEPHONE:0800 0928925 & ask them to repeat this rare classic a.s.a.p. I explained that it was pointless of them showing a film 15 mins early as most people are in bed at that time & will have set their Tivo box or DVD recorder to record the film & thus most people will have not got to see all the film! How stupid of the BBC of all people! Lets get on the phone & don't stop until they've given us a new date for this lovely flick to be shown again!

reply

Yes I agree totally- it's just daft for any tv channel to say a programme will be on a certain time then show it much earlier. Nobody will see it. Idiots! I'll give them a call.

reply

What a worthy cause this is, moviematters! I'm in. I'm furious with bloody BBC!

reply

The BBC must repeat this film! They can't get away with this! They owe us that. I called asking for a repeat & the woman said she will pass my request on to the programme planners.

reply

that was disgusting. bbc seem to want to win the award for idiot broadcasters of the year! I'm on the phone to them now!

reply

I'm so annoyed cos the only dvd on the market is the one by the worst label in the UK, Orbit Media! What a bunch of third rate pirates they are. Lets call BBC, this must be shown again & next time they had better stick to the damn time they advertise!!

reply

Too right! I had a decent VHS (UK Second Sight tape) but there just aint a good DVD. This film is so rarely on tv & BBC had to mess it up yesterday. They must explain!

reply

yes, time to do something about this shocking behaviour of the BBC! Whoever is responsible should be spanked until their arse is purple!

reply

I called BBC and all they could say is the film was shown 1:35am yesterday! They had no record of it being advertised for a 1:50am airing- this is ridiculous!! Is this the BBC we're dealing with here or some little channel with no f*@king experience in broadcasting?!!

reply

DREADFUL SERVICE FROM THE BBC!!! Everywhere said it was coming on @ 01:50 yesterday morning- Radio Times, Tivo guide etc. I will hound them until they say when this film will be repeated!

reply

that's the spirit! I was so lookin forward to this film tonight but put my recording on to find it starts from the wedding scene! That's over 10 mins into the film. BBC must account for this.

reply

Well, well! I can see I'm not alone! Keep it up people!!

reply

I called BBC & a lady said that the film was indeed scheduled for 1.50am but was shown @ 1.35 on Sat!! Disgusting! I asked for a repeat.

reply

Yes I spoke to BBC today too- this is bloody disgusting! How the hell can they behave like that?!

reply

We must persist. BBC have wasted time & money showing the film 15 minutes too early so hardly anyone will have seen it! Fools! Keep calling them: 08000 928925.

reply

I knew I was in trouble when I played the recording back & the first thing I saw was the wedding- a lot happens before that!

Damn the BBC! Where's that f*@#ing phone?!

reply

So the number we must have handy: 0800 092 8925 for BBC viewer enquiries. Why? Cos when BBC screw up like they did on Saturday by showing this great film fifteen minutes too early, we must call them & ask for a repeat. Stupid people!

reply

when I called BBC today they said that it was shown 1:35am Saturday & that seemed to be when it was scheduled for. But I argued that various tv guides AND my tivo box at 12 midnight on the Fri, just over an hour before then said it was coming on at 1:50!!! So how the hell can BBC have been right when EVERYWHERE ELSE said 1:50am?

They had better get this film on again & next time I'm takin no chances- I'll allow for it to be on over 20 mins early & run 20 mins late! I don't trust em now!

reply

Good point 'go-wild'! The fact that so many media sources had the information that the film was due on BBC2 @ 01:50am (and not 01:35)last Saturday implies BBC were responsible for that false information. They must accept responsibility! After that, who can trust them again when recording a programme when they say it'll be on?

reply

Exactly. This is outrageous what they did and they just said when I called them today that when TV Times or such are published about 10 days in advance, times can change when prog's go on air. Fair enough but then why was this film advertised as being on air 01:50 on Sat a.m right up to Friday night, a few hours prior to then???!

Everyone, phone BBC until they tell us when this film will next be shown!!!

reply

Despite many complaints to the BBC back in February about them starting this film way too early, they still haven't re-scheduled it to be shown! We must keep calling them.
