The kid who played Steve was REALLY Good! (SPOILER)

Was he an actor, or just hired for the movie? When he is screaming "STOP! STOP! STOP!" at the end, with the fade to the gray blur, it is so powerful!

He's very good and no, it appears he did no more acting, which is a shame.

I'm watching it now, as it aired on This network and he is about the only interesting person along with the little girl he's been speaking to.

While I wouldn't say "about the ONLY interesting person", I would definitely say that he was one of the most powerful performances in the movie. That ending was a very tear jerking moment. He connects VERY well to the other characters as well as the material and subject of the movie, making it seem very real and believable.
I was surprised to see that he had done nothing before and nothing since, this movie.
Kind of a "one hit wonder" prodigy who just has VERY natural acting ability. He seemed more mature than the 12 year old he was playing. In any event, he was one of the highlights of the movie.

I know this is a year long post, but he DID do more acting on stage.

He was excellent, not least in that powerful final moment. Most of the other kids in the movie have at least a few other credits on IMDb but it does seem that Christopher Howard's career in films began and ended with Ladybug Ladybug.
