Worst Elvis flick?

I adore Elvis, but this was ridiculously bad. I rated it a 5/10, the lowest rating I've ever given any of his movies. What do you think?

I haven't seen a lot of Elvis flicks but you are right. This one was no good. But I do have to admit I laughed through it. Not cuz it was funny but it was so bad it was hilarious.

reply

Haha I agree.

Ive heard Charro was pretty bad. Ive not watched that one so I dont know yet. Ive seen most of his movies but some its been so long im not sure if there are some that are pretty bad. I like most of his movies. Need to watch them all again to decide.

I just remembered Stay Away Joe and ive not seen it in so long I dont recall if it was good or not. I think ive read it was one of the worst. And what about Easy Come Easy Go or Paradise Hawaiian Style. Arent those not too great.

All the movies you mentioned are some of his worst, unfortunately. Easy Come, Easy Go is kinda fun, though.

of course,it's all relative.i think his best were his early ones.starting with Kissin Cousins they were all pretty bad.

This was the first Elvis movie I saw at a theatre, where I wasn't sure if I like it or not. And I was 13 at the time. I never went to a Elvis movie at the theatre after that. The only thing I liked about this movie is #1) Elvis is handsome, #2) The title song. #3) Two Elvis's. The later Elvis movies I saw on TV and they weren't any better.

Atleast he didn't play a brain surgeon.

Elvis saved that (sort of) for "Change of Habit," which wins my vote for dumbest movie he was ever in.

Of course, one can't blame Elvis too much. Col. Parker pretty much sabotaged Elvis's movie career by forcing him to stick to the same old tried and true formula movies which creaked, but made money.

Why do you think it was dumb? I would not call this one the worst at all. It would be among his better movies because it had a serious subject matter as well as a message and his acting was good in it. Also it was a nontraditional role for him playing a doctor. I enjoyed it and really loved seeing Mary Tyler Moore in it as well. The song at the in is one of his most upbeat gospel songs and I think a good one.
