Barry Warren

Just watched this film for the first time and although I did enjoy it as a film in its own right the main reason I watched it was to see Barry Warren. Until very recently I'd only seen him in Frankenstein Created Woman. I love him in that film, but his performance in this movie was just amazing - such a precise, intense performance. His speech, mannerisms, everything. The piano playing scene was particularly powerful, like Marianne I didn't want him to stop either!!!!! He appeared to dance beautifully (unless that was a double of course), and he was gorgeous looking too. The other main performances were good but he put them all in the shade (no pun intended!) I do wish he had appeared in more films than he did, it's a shame, he was such a good actor, but I will definitely be watching this again...it's a buyer!

I re-watched this horror gem last night, and I agree that he was breathtaking. I couldn't take my eyes off him since his very first scene at the piano, and kept wondering why didn't he become a BIG star, or at least a household name. He kind of reminds me of a young Christopher Plummer. Very handsome, charming and talented.

I'm glad you agree, someone else mentioned to me that he reminded them of Christopher Plummer too funnily enough.

I really treasure every appearance I've seen him in because there are so few of them, and look forward one day to seeing those harder to track down ones that haven't been wiped or lost. Sooner rather than later I hope!
