Cool

I just got this from NetFlix, and it was a blast. It's funny seeing this, and thinking about just how much CGI and other special effects have changed film making. Huge casts, big action scenes, spectacular sets, and all in camera. Very cool.
Yul Brynner is awesome in this, with all his swagger and machismo intact.
And boy it was nice to discover another pre-colonial adventure movie. I'm completely bored to tears by movies about the evil white man coming and crushing the wonderful and spiritually pure people of the Americas. It's nice to see a film that has nothing to do with Europeans at all (except of course that they play all the leads, but this was the 60s).
