Black actor (not Rochester)

There was a black actor in the first 1/2 hour that was not stepin Fetchet or Mantan Morland? He was driving a car with a female passenger.
I've looked at cast but can't find anybody. No, it was not ernie Anderson. Any knowledge?

Are you talking about the guy in the truck who was with his wife that said "I didn't want to move to California" If so his name was Nick Stewart.

Just for the record, the man was a Disney Legend. He provided the voice for Brer Bear in both the movie and the Splash Mountain rides.
