Small Credit Error

Something I like about this film is that it is perhaps the first film to show African-Americans as officers in the then-contemporary military. Albeit, he had the lowest rank of any of the other officers featured (Captain, while all the other officers were Major up to General). There was also a Hispanic officer (Full Colonel Garcia in Maintenance). It showed that all racial groups were keeping the country safe. I don't know which was the first film that showed African-Americans as Naval or Army or Marine officers. The Air Force, being the youngest branch of the service, had the least amount of racial baggage in recruiting minorities as officers.
