Colonel Brooks' firing for failing the ORI

Where would he have gone after that? I mean what sort of a job would he have and how much would that have damaged his career? Does anybody out there have any thoughts or ideas about that?

Yes, Washington is indeed a beautiful state and I wouldn't live anywhere else!

I'm guessing his career with the Air Force was over and he went to work for a defense contractor as a mid level or high level manager. Retired Air Force officers keep in touch with each other and recommend one another for job openings.

The Air Force officers who plan to put in twenty years for full retirement benefits are in their early 40s (assuming they received their commissions as 2nd lieutenants at twenty-two)when they retire. They might have children who are still in high school and would probably want to continue working. The officers and enlisted men who worked with defense contractors such as McDonnell-Douglas, Lockheed,TRW, Raytheon, etc., can usually find employment with these companies. They are already well known to the managers, salesmen, and supervisors of these companies that work on classified projects for the Air Force.
