They should have inserted that old clip where Moe tells Curly, "Grab your ear, ya nitwit", and then Curly grabs his ear and Moe grabs Curly's elbow and pulls him wherever they're going....LOL!!! Or maybe the one where Moe comes through the door and bangs the door against Shemp's head. Shemp says "Why, I oughta---", and then Moe growls "You oughta what?". Shemp gulps and says "I oughta watch where I'm goin'". Then Moe says "Yeah, I thought that's what you meant."

The DeRita years. DeRita was a poor replacement for poor Jerry Howard.
I thought by this time that their acting and bits were too contrived, and that they looked like they had done each bit way too many times.

They certainly weren't as good as they were in their prime, yet they were at their height of their popularity at this time.

No blah, blah, blah!

It was bizarre,

A lot of these Rat Pack vehicles are any way. But that was just plain weird having them cameo on the wharf and just go through one of their routines.

Still have to admit it was probably the comedy highlight of the movie.

I thought it was a nice "tribute" to let them have a 10 min routine in the middle of the show.
PLUS Dean Martin and Grandma Walton gave them all a 'Triple Slap'. Classic!!!

I know it is corny and slap (literally) stick, but Hell I love it.

As Sven says, the "Triple Slap"..with sound effects is a "classic."

A recent doco had Walt Disney responding to criticisms that his stuff was "corny." He said, "I LOVE corny!"

Here is a link to something similar with Uncle Milty, Dino and Jerry. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DC-ef2VhGjU

Speaking of cameos, I'd love to watch It's a Mad Mad Mad Wirld again. It is fantastic.

DeRita may have been a poor replacement for poor Jerry Howard but he was a vast improvement over Joe Besser. The fact is no one could really replace Jerome, not even Shemp.

At least it woke me up when the trio appeared.

It's that man again!!
