Golden Laurel

Flipper (1963) somehow shared the "Golden Laurel" award for "Sleeper of the Year" 1964 with another movie, Beach Party (1963) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0056860/

Just looking at those two films chosen shows how much we've changed since then. One could say "young skin" was in then, whereas today it's more like "tough guy one-liners".

That was the time when the "Youth Movement" brought about by the baby boom was just revving up.
