Who is the woman in the painting in Alain's room?

As Alain spends a great deal of time in his room at the hospital the painting of a woman, in a round frame, is heavily featured in several shots on the mantle below his mirror and it's the main image on the DVD menu. Does anyone know who the painting is of?
