One of the funniest films ever made

I implore anyone out there to find a copy of this film and watch it, is is pure Comedy gold. Stanley Baxter as the hapless newly wed trying to escape the cluthes of his overbearing father in law( the always brilliant James Robertson Justice) by buying a run down cottage with his new wife and getting a team of dodgy builders in to renovate it led by the great Ronnie Barker. as usual Leslie Phillips steals the show as Roderick Chipfield the estate agent who thinks he is the best actor/ director in the world with his amateur dramatic club. See this film! you won't regret it.

Yeah, this was actually entertaining in a "take me off to another time" sort of way. All of the leading actors were really good at their parts... very English.

Also a lot of slapstick comedy, but it works. The plot generally reminds me of The Money Pit, which isn't bad. Newlyweds trying to deal with a new house and not much income...
