Remake

John Wayne is nearly impossible to replace, but does anyone have an opinion on a remake cast?

I have an idea. Let's do the whole thing in CGI. If you are making crap it should be a huge pile at least.

I love this film because it reminds me of my Dad.

I can't imagine and wouldn't watch a remake.

Why ain't you at the garden party you heathen?

Sorry........not a chance. This is one of those films that's so good that you could never duplicate it.

there is no way this movie would translate to something audiences would want to see in 2010.
if somehow they did remake it, it would be a completely different movie and so why have it be a remake.

I wouldn't mind seeing a remake.

Here would be my choices for the principle cast...

Kurt Russell or Mel Gibson as Donovan,

Dennis Quaid or Adam Baldwin as Gilhooley,

and finally

Michelle Pfeiffer or Nicole Kidman as Ameilia.

If Michelle Pfeiffer is signed to play Amelia, I'm sad to say that the director might have to take out her over-the-knee spanking at the end of the movie.

However, if Nicole Kidman is signed to play Amelia, the director may be legally obliged by contract to retain it.

Personally, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Nicole!
