elvira release

i had never heard of this before, as a movie theme anyway, only as spooky stories as a kid and ofcourse "thing" in addams family. what a strange opening looks like a video game with the credits appearing in the view of the spaceman... strange how the sudden line from the waiter at the table and the girls hardly reacting. bird is the word (surfin bird) on the jukebox was fun after seeing family guy, the set is just like the family guy episode, adding to that elvira sings the plot as she introduces the movie! no stranger to that, i love the cds with mixed horror tunes with a few tracks made by herself, like i discovered a neat tune called "creature from the black lagoon" and on the same cd the twilight zone theme. the cute actress portraying the swedish girl was the only thing that brought some impact to this movie, i was surprised when she took her clothes off, i wonder why they didn't make a bigger deal of that on the cover like has been the case with other movies in this collection, but better off it coming as a surprise. i got this on ep along with "brain that wouldn't die" (which has been released on three different elvira movie series!) as elvira introduces this movie saying she'll be back after the whole thing is over, compare that to movie macabre with interruptions and commentary throughout the movies. the only movies i've liked in the midnight madness collection are the ones that has also been featured on macabre, except i liked "night of the ghouls" though, i guess that means these movies need to get pimped up to become fun to watch. notice a never the likes of elviras extensive hand play on words.

this home soil breaking my spirit,
and i have to seek distant places,
for a friendly sight,
to raise up after getting pushed down,
in these chilly streets,
progressing away from tradition, down and out with history,
nobody cares further than individual image,
and i have to travel to feel companionship,
love care and unity,
salvage my spirit from a messed up treat,
to whats home sweet home to me.
