Who Was the Actor Jones Enjoyed Kissing?

On the audio commentary to "Courtship of Eddie's Father," Shirley Jones says that kissing any actor was just business to her, with the exception of one actor; kissing him was something different / more.

She then said she'd refuse to name the actor.

Anyone know who that actor might be?

Maybe Burt Lancaster. Further on in the audio commentary, Jones talks about having fallen in love with Lancaster when she saw him in the movie "The Killers," and hanging a poster of him on her wall. Little did she know, she said, that years later she'd costar with him in a movie.

She said similar things in a short film discussing Burt Lancaster, that she did for TCM. At the end, she does name him as the all-time best kisser. Here it is:

My guess would be Gordon MacRae! Not only did she have a crush on him when she was a girl but she was his love interest in both Carousel and Oklahoma. Gordon was married at the time so I could see her keeping her (and possibly his) secret after he died. Shirley has always tried to maintain the integrity of a family...

In her book she indicated that she had a high school make out thing with Richard Widmark
