New 'Pan Am' series debuting this Sunday on ABC

Well, after all these years--a series based during the "Come Fly With Me"
golden age of air travel. (Polar Atlantic, thinly veiled imitation of Pan
Am Airways, the "stewardess" uniforms in "Come Fly With Me" are practically a
carbon copy of the uniforms in the new ABC series "Pan Am.")

I look forward to this series. Of course it will be a little more explicit
than "Come Fly With Me," but it looks like a winner.

I wonder if "Mother Dolores" will want to (be allowed to?) watch this new show?

Well, the Pan Am filmmakers would be crazy not to 'borrow' the bits that help spark their own ideas. That and other films of the era like The Pleasure Seekers and the Coffee, Tea and Me books ... certainly a load of material.

all this you mention remind me of a dvd box i have called "mile high", a series i think produced in 2002, those stewardess outfits are insane, and did you catch when the broad crawled across the floor in this? by looking on this board it's like this movie can't be found anywhere else than on tcm. as it started off i thought it would be a hip fun flick, but goes on pretty slow speed and turns into a romantic comedy that i wasn't expecting with violins playing all through the runtime it seem. i think they needed to put subtitles on the song the redhead with the accordion was singing, that can sound pretty dirty at many places, and about the dialogue: "i don't go for that kind of wienerschnitzel", "did i pull a boner" - is that something they use in the remakes too?

walkin in a circle,
same happened as before,
wish i didn't came to know,
as i stand here frightened and alone,
no one on the same rout,
no exit i can find,
trying to decide if i could tell you about,
but you were nowhere to found.
