Party Scene - Kennedy references

In the "Party Scene" there is a reference to JFK after a woman is hypnotized. The film was released in the US in June of 1963 … JFK was assassinated in November. I can recall the studio removed all references to Kennedy after that. Not sure when they restored the original version but the JFK comments in the party scene are back in.

That's really weird, because (a) they don't say anything disparaging about JFK, and (b) "home video" back then only meant occasional broadcasts on the late show (hardly anyone watching).

Reminds me of the kerfuffle over Spielberg's "A.I." (2001) where they thought about digitally removing the World Trade Center towers from the DVD version . . . . but I think they ultimately opted to keep them in.

Also, for decades people thought Sinatra kept "The Manchurian Candidate" out of circulation to attenuate any connections with JFK's assassination, but this is an urban myth that has since been debunked.

I saw the movie again recently. It was merely an imitation of JFK, quite funny?
