Augustus...?
Why did they make him so weak and gay? In real life he was such a conqueror.
shareNo he wasn't. Agrippa did the conquering and Augusta played sick at before battles and hid in his tent as the movie portrays.
shareYeah, Augustus was a politician, not a soldier, a very intelligent and skilled politician. And he was actually only 19 when Julius Caesar died and he became co-dictator of Rome and had to start dealing with civil wars and shit, and he totally won the Game Of Thrones, while modern 19-year-old boys can barely make themselves a bowl of cereal.
So I'm pretty okay with his portrayal in this movie. Plus, the real Augustus looked rather dweeby when he was young, according to the surviving portraits.
