DVD?

I saw this when I was a child at the theater and was totally entertained. I am curious if anybody knows about a DVD? This movie certainly deserves one.

My dad took me to a screening of this double featured with JACK THE GIANT KILLER and both films scared/impressed me. I've also been wondering if/when this will ever come out on DVD. Having watched this again off a tape I made off of TV quite a few years ago, I am struck that it's too juvenile for most adult audiences to withstand, yet today's juvies are delinquents by the time they are six years old, so there's little chance this colorful fantasy will appeal to them. Then there are the limitations of the special effects...the trick wires show badly in some shots. But that's what gives a film like this charm. I also hope one day this arrive on DVD in all its glory.

. . . . . . . . . .

Evangelical Christians are the new Nazis. Believe it.

I have a VHS of this off cable. They haven't shown it since the '80s, I think.
A film critic accurately said the special effects look like the monsters you would see jumping out during a boat ride at an amusement park. Paricularly bad were the stuffed-looking non mobile Roc birds who dropped rocks on the ship, and the rubber alligators. The seven headed dragon looked like a very cool child's toy enlarged and made huge.
-But you know what? I really like this old movie with the rich saturated colors. It has a cornball charm. Guy Williams was a good choice to play Sinbad, and Pedro Amendariz (From Russia with Love) was a great charasmatic villain. I even like the rousing, romantic music. It's on of those DVDs you wait for -for years in vain.
