One of the best visual gags ever that unfortunately is lost today: when Elvis made his first few appearances on the Ed Sullivan Show it was decreed he was only to be photographed above the waist so that his hip swiveling gyrations would not offend the country. At the climax of the HONESTLY SINCERE number as Conrad is about to thrust his humping hips three times the camera quickly zooms in to photograph him above the waist! Priceless!
