Engine

When Sammy arrives at a station in the Sudan called MJUB’AO, the engine which passes by is clearly an East African Railways Tribal Class 2-8-4, No 3142, Sanye.

I'll take your word for that, Robin, as you obviously know your stuff with regard to old steam engines. However, if MJUB'AO was the real name of the place, it must have changed its name since the film crew was there in 1962, as I've searched the Internet and can't find it listed anywhere these days. Maybe it could have been what is known now as Juba, a river port on the White Nile in southern Sudan. Perhaps the train was on a run from East Africa to the Sudan.
