Your Favorite Disturbing Moments? (SPOILERS, I'm sure)

Mine was when the drunken lady lets Fouad into her motel. She seems about ready to have sex with him, but he cuts out her tongue using that "grabber" implement.

I was a horny 18 year old & couldn't put together the sexual feelings I had with the torture & gore.

I was a freshman in college & saw it at a drive-in with my roommate, Wally.

A few scenes really disturbed me. I wanted to leave, but Wally wanted to stick around... and it was his car. so...

The next movie was "2000 Maniacs." The spiked barrel scene and the cut-off thumb got me the most.

I'm pretty much over it at age 71, but when I think back, those scenes left an imprint for a long time.
