What type of car is that Melanie was driving?

I thought is was an Austin Healy.

It was/is a 1954 Aston Martin DB2/4 Drophead Coupe to be precise.

As the Duck pointed out, it looked to me like a DB2 Drophead from the early 1950s. Interesting choice in cars!
