Dr. Zhivago

Was Billy Liar Julie Christie's first film? The last one I saw her in was the recent Canadian Film, Away From Her. She was the best thing about it.

Anyway, back on topic, I find in interesting that Tom Courtenay and Julie Christie were together again 2 years later, in Dr Zhivago. Maybe this is stretching things, but I can see a parallel in their relationasips. Both dreamy Billy Fisher, and psychopathic Strel'nikov wind up choosing their neurotic ideals over the love of an extraordinarily beautiful woman.
