Revolutionary

This film is obviously adapted from the stage – very awkwardly at times – but it makes important points about the intersection of sex, politics, law, religion and war. I'm not totally clear on what those points are, but I believe it has something to do with the fact that women hold the true power while men start meaningless wars and create pointless laws and moral dictums that lead us to destruction.

Heavy stuff, and a great cast to boot! Particularly notable are Shelley Winters as the madam and Peter Falk as the police chief, quite obviously modeled on Castro.
