I got hooked by the last scene...

In the last shot you see Drucker/Dorbeck happily on the beach with Marianne.

is it really Dorbeck, or is it a kind of last visionary/escape dream/fantasy of Drucker while he is dying...?
(you know, something like in Mulholland Drive or Lost Higway)

what do you think?

I prefer to think it is real. Dorbeck is an evil bastard if it's true.

If it's untrue, Druckers transformation is complete in his fantasy; he becomes Dorbeck.
