I first saw this movie when it first came out and again last night. I still don't see what all the acclaim is about. It might have an appeal to cinematographers or pseudointellectuals but certainly not to the average movie goer. I think people say they like it because they are supposed to like it!
shareI think it’s a breathtaking movie - and I say this as someone who does not appreciate all of Fellini’s films. But 8 1/2 is a wonder, richly entertaining and so beautiful throughout. To me this is proof that you don’t have to understand a film to be enthralled Ng it.
