PJ no longer on MeTV

This weekend, I was checking my settings on my DVR when I noticed Petticoat Junction is on longer on MeTV!!
They can play two episodes daily of the Rifleman, MASH and Leave It To Beaver, but can't even air PJ once a week!
Please MeTV- at least once on Saturday night, just like old times!

My 12 year old daughter and I are disappointed too!!! We loved taping it in the morning and watching it at night. Hopefully they will release the episodes on dvd if MeTV doesn't put it back on soon!

reply

I did the same for my family. Even sent an E-mail to MeTV, and would recommend others do the same.

they're running a couple of episodes for their Rural Comedy special on 7/14/13... wish they'd bring it back everyday.... i really miss my daily dose of Bobbi Jo... wow what a hottie

reply

I'm glad I set the dvr for those two episodes!
I wrote metv and asked to bring back PJ, even if it's once a week!
I hope that in Sep. they'll change their schedule to help us get our fix!

I'm not sure if I've seen this since I was a little kid, and I enjoyed watching it this morning. I can't think of a show that changed more than this one during its run; this first episode so quaint and sweet and somewhere it morphed into just a sitcom about young marrieds.

Those early episodes are something special. I think the show would have had a longer run in syndication if those early episodes had been included in the syndication package, even though they were in B&W. Those last two seasons are awfully weak and corny. But the early shows have an "Andy Griffith Show"-esque feel.

Whether MeTV runs it depends on which TV market you're in. It's now August, and it's running in Spokane, WA.

This will be the high point of my day; it's all downhill from here.
