Patty the Diplomat

I just saw Patty the Diplomat (1966) that aired a week ago on MeTV. Patty's phone call to Russia is certainly a lot funnier when you understand Russian as I do. Otherwise, you have to wait for an explanation of the futility of her call. Interestingly, I started an intensive study of the language just as the episode originally aired and didn't see it until recently.

Another interesting feature of the episode was the State Department's use of the term G7, not knowing that it would eventually mean something entirely different.
