Between the awkward new rendition of the opening theme, the iris slow wipes before and after commercials, and the weird transition effects between scenes with the whistles and the film slate sounds, I don't know what they were thinking.

shareI've always preferred the classic first season opening credits with Patty running down the Lane staircase and standing next to Cathy as Tiger takes off. Too bad they didn't keep that staircase for the series, itself. For me, the second and third season opening credits are too different to pick a runner-up.
I think Patty and Cathy had the best make-up, hairstyles and clothes in the first season. I dislike many of the clothes and that wig in season two. Season three had better hairstyles and clothes than season two. First season was the best! Oddly enough, I like season three's episodes better than season two's.
